I am pleased to welcome you to SCCS 2011 Riyadh as the Chairman of the Organizing Committee. This year we have worked hard to present the most up to date and relevant issues in Critical Care Medicine. The Saudi Critical Care society will continue with our tradition of offering the best in both adult and pediatric educational experiences. In addition to our established tracks we have added a new nursing track to better serve the needs of the growing critical care nursing community in Saudi Arabia.

We plan to make SCCS 2011 Riyadh a corner stone of our “success story” for 2011. This year’s conference will again include a two day pre-conference course schedule. The pre-conference course list is very comprehensive and includes adult and pediatric areas of interest to a wide variety to critical care professionals. The scientific meeting will deliver current trends, treatments and ideas from world renowned leaders of critical care medicine. During the conference you will be able to meet and discuss current issues with some of the best known names in the critical care community.

In addition to the impressive list of international speakers the SCCS is pleased to have a large number of local and regional leaders who will participate in both the pre-conference courses and the scientific meeting. SCCS 2011 Riyadh will help to improve the visibility of many of Saudi Arabia’s medical leaders and allow them participate in a world class conference.

SCCS 2011 Riyadh is first and foremost an educational event, but I want to assure you that the legendary Saudi hospitality does not end after the last speaker of the day! The organizing committee has planned numerous social events to keep both conference participants and speakers entertained. Our goal as an organizing committee is to give you the ultimate conference experience and lifelong memories of your visit to Saudi Arabia.
